The beauty of CrossFit is that every day is different. We work on mastering very doable movements and constantly varied exercises. The focus on health and fitness through functional fitness at high intensity means that your fitness goals can be met in a safe and effective approach.

Our standards for coaching are the highest around and each class is led by an experienced coach starting with a dynamic warm-up and mobility, soon after that is a strength or skill element. There’s even more fun after that; the workout and conditioning. This workout will include multiple movements!  The class will often end with a short cool down or stretch. 

REMEMBER! You don’t have to be in great shape to start! So many people come to CrossFitOP who haven’t exercised in a very long time. We teach them how to move correctly, which keeps them injury-free and inspired to continue pursuing their health and fitness goals.

There are many approaches to getting in better shape. Ours is simple. Working smarter and harder. We know that it takes time and commitment to get to where you want to be in the way of fitness.

Crossfit Oyster Point is known to have the highest coaching standards and experience in the area. Knowing this high standard, you should feel confident that we will pay particular attention to your form and if needed, correct your movements on a regular basis throughout the workouts to prevent injury and increase effectiveness. You will begin with a Coach-led warm up that includes mobility, dynamic movements and review of the workout. The class will then work on a strength movement to build the core and specific muscle movements. The Workout is next. This is where you’re sweatin’ bullets and pushing hard. We will end with a cool down. These are great ingredients to higher level of overall fitness!!


Those who are new to CrossFit complete three, one-on-one 60-minute Essentials Course sessions with one of our experienced coaches. These sessions introduce new athletes to the basic movements of CrossFit including:

  • squat (back, overhead, and front)
  • deadlift
  • presses
  • bodyweight movements

The emphasis of these sessions are most definitely focused on technique and introducing additional intensity to your workout. These one-on-one sessions will provide a stepping tone to our regular CrossFit classes. The sessions are scheduled at a time convenient to you.

Essentials Class

CrossFitOP wants your experience to be a great and safe journey. This is why we require Essentials for those that have not CrossFit before. The Essentials class reviews all the basic movements of CrossFit which includes Squats, Presses, Deadlifts, Cleans and body weight movements. These private sessions are used to help you feel comfortable to join the regular CrossFit class easily and safely. We can schedule these at times that best for you.
